Cauliflower Capsicum Stir Fry Recipe

If you are tired of making cauliflower veggie the same routine way, try this Cauliflower Capsicum Stir Fry recipe that has been spiced up with green chilies and ginger and has an added flavor of capsicum or green pepper. Ready in minutes, serve it hot and sizzling, with roti or phulka.

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 1 cup big florets
  • Capsicum (Green pepper) - 1 cup
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida (Hing) - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Ginger - 3/4
  • Green chili - 1
  • Chat masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Lime / lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - To taste

Instructions

  1. Take 1 cup cauliflower cut into big florets, and 1 cup capsicum (green pepper) cut into big square pieces.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing), and 1 tsp turmeric powder.
  3. Add the cauliflower, cover and let cook till half done.
  4. Now add the capsicum and add ginger-chili paste made from 3/4" piece of ginger and 1 green chili.
  5. Cover to cook completely. Do not overcook.
  6. Add 1/2 tsp chat masala, 1/2 tsp lemon juice, and salt to taste. Now let cook for 2 more minutes. Do not cover.
  7. Serve hot with roti or phulka.
